Transitional ELD (English Language Development) is a mandatory course for transitional level students in the English Learner Education program.

This course is designed to advance the academic vocabulary, language conventions, and linguistic complexity of English learners in the domains of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Through this course, students will work toward the progression of their language and literacy proficiencies in English, as well as toward exit from the English Learner Education program.
